Pastor James Jacobs had a vision over twenty years ago to feed In-need Families & Children, Veterans, Elderly and the Homeless. Today Pastor Jacob's vision comes to life through Feed LA County, a Jacobs Deliverance Foundation Family Charity, certified 501(c)3 nonprofit, dedicated in helping those less fortunate.
A Veteran and longtime resident of Pasadena, Pastor Jacobs began a food distribution program in 2002, which has expanded throughout Los Angeles County. Pastor Jacobs always encourages others to join him in this mission to END HUNGER and in helping our Homeless Veterans in Los Angeles County.
For 15 years, Feed LA County, along with our food distribution partners, have provided holiday GRAB-N-GO hot
meals & Food Baskets, healthy food, non perishables, hygiene supplies, clothing, winter coats, working computers, bicycles and toys for our in-need community. We have distributed to over 98 local organizations including food banks, community & elder centers, domestic violence shelters and churches since 2002. Our NEW southern branch, Willing Vessels Community Outreach, provides humanitarian services from Rex, Georgia and surrounding areas.
On most major holidays throughout the year, Feed LA County sponsors holiday meal events with our venue partners, offering Volunteer opportunities to cook, assemble & distribute meals to county wide locations.
JDFC VETERANS AFFAIRS helps Veterans with PTSD, locate Housing, Job Placement, referrals for Mental Health & Drug Treatment, and raising awareness through Veterans Advocacy Programs, Veterans Housing plans to operate & maintain facilities, Online Petitions and Community Outreach Services. Our grassroots Petition efforts involve bringing important issues before lawmakers who can make changes that will impact the daily lives of In-Need and Homeless Veterans.
JDFC Family Charity maintains continued partnerships with NAACP-Pasadena, Neighbors Empowering Youth, in Altadena, and Vice-Mayor Councilmember John J. Kennedy of Pasadena, jointly working to enrich the lives of our underserved youth community. We have been recognized by The Pasadena Star, Pasadena News Now, The City of Pasadena, Pasadena Weekly and featured in The Beverly Press.
